Neck pain is a common problem especially with the added use of computers and electronics. Last week we saw that posture plays an important role in developing neck pain. Increase tension to the neck muscles can lead to tension headaches and TMJ.
Exercises are key in releasing tension, correct posture and maintain mobility.
Exercise: Lateral Neck bending (Side to side stretch)
Roll you shoulders back
Lift chin look forward
Chin Poke (see last week email)
Stretch neck to the right.
You can enhance this exercise by using your right hand to stretch further. Try depressing your left shoulder at the same time. ( See Picture)
