Meet Dr. Diane Ferris
Lifelong Interest in Sports, Exercise and Rehabilitation
Dr. Ferris has always been interested in the role of exercise and rehabilitation in improving health, and taught aerobics and weight training long before becoming a chiropractor. She approaches her patients with a “rehabilitation mindset,” finding out what’s going on, determining how she can fix it, and teaching her patients how to take good care of themselves.
Her interest in chiropractic care began when her husband hurt his back early in their marriage. She saw how much the adjustments helped him, and realized that the profession was everything she had been looking for. Working as a microbiologist at the time, she had been feeling limited, and chiropractic medicine embodied her dual interests of science and movement.

Outside of the Practice
Dr. Ferris is an avid cyclist and runner, and recently completed a half-marathon. She is a board member of both the Rotary Club of Naperville and the Naperville Junior Woman’s Club.
It was her husband’s back injury that changed the course of her professional career, and he continues to be an inspiration. Diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, his condition helps her educate others about optimizing their own health. He has certain limitations that he has no control over, but most of her patients can make a choice and exercise control, leading them to their best possible health.
